Safe Quality Food (SQF) Code 7.2 Level 3 Certified Company – The Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) is a globally trusted, recognized, and accepted food safety and quality program. SQF is recognized by retailers, foodservice providers, and regulatory agencies around the world and is the only Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized standard that provides a separate, unique approach that incorporates a quality certification component. The SQF Code 7.2 Level 3 is the most stringent and highest level of certification awarded by SQFI, including both a comprehensive food safety program and a quality management system. Quality Distribution’s adherence to the SQF requirements and certification is monitored by the independent certification body of ASI Food Safety Consultants.
GMP – Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), are required by 21 CFR 110 and focuses on preventing contamination and minimizing risk. Passing rigorous and unannounced food safety inspections conducted by third parties with “Superior” ratings are commonplace at Quality Distribution. Areas of inspection include record keeping, personnel practices, equipment maintenance, sanitation procedures, pest control, and allergen control. QDI’s facilities are immaculate as a result of established and proven food safety and housekeeping practices.
